Caring for your Jewellery:

All of our product is real sterling silver, and silver can tarnish. It is the nature of the product. However cleaning silver is not difficult, in fact it is very easy and quick. We recommend the use of Connoisseurs brand products for any cleaning you may need to do. The silver polishing cloth is safe for all silver jewellery and is treated to remove tarnish as well as to provide an anti tarnish protection. Simply wiping the jewellery with the white portion of the cloth will keep it looking great. This should be done when it looks dull and after wearing to remove any possible oils, makeup etc. from the jewellery. When not wearing your silver, keeping it in a good jewellery box or even a ziploc bag will prevent or at least slow down the tarnishing.
Connoisseurs also makes a silver cleaning liquid, but it is not for use on precious or semi-precious stones, painted/antiqued pieces or any other type of metal. This cleaner works very well on silver chains, but it can damage some stones and remove the antique finish off some jewellery. Be sure to follow the directions and you should have no problems.
